Programming Vice President

Hillari Zweibohmer

"Power-Up with Programming"

Omaha, Nebraska

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as your 2026–2027 Programming Vice President. This year's theme, "Power Up with Programming," reflects the incredible opportunities that programming provides for every member. Through programming, we grow as leaders, expand our knowledge, strengthen our communities, build meaningful relationships, and make a lasting impact through service. Together, we have the power to energize our organization and empower one another to make a difference.

For those who may not know me, my name is Hillari Zweibohmer, and I currently serve as President of the Omaha Women of Today chapter. Although we are one of the newest chapters in Nebraska Women of Today, we've learned that success isn't measured by the number of members—it is measured by passion, commitment, creativity, and the desire to serve. We may be small, but we are mighty, and we are excited to continue growing, serving our community, and sharing fresh ideas across our state organization.

This year, I will be focusing on two key areas that will help strengthen both our members and our chapters.

The first is Governmental Affairs Certification.

Government and civic engagement are topics that touch each of our lives every day. The Governmental Affairs Certification is not about political parties or personal beliefs—it is about understanding how our government works, recognizing the important role each of us plays as engaged citizens, and learning effective ways to make our voices heard. As Women of Today members, we believe in informed leadership, active citizenship, and empowering individuals to participate in their communities.

My goal is to see at least three members from every chapter earn their Governmental Affairs Certification this year. Even more exciting, chapters that achieve 100% certification will earn a special incentive, and chapters that reach that milestone during Governmental Affairs Emphasis Month in October will receive an even bigger reward. Imagine the impact we can make when every member is equipped with the knowledge and confidence to engage in civic life.

The second area of emphasis is Community Connection Reports.

Every project your chapter completes tells the story of your impact. Whether you're volunteering your time, donating funds, collecting needed items, or partnering with local organizations, those efforts deserve to be recognized and celebrated.

Submitting a Community Connection Report for every project is one of the easiest and most valuable ways to showcase the difference you're making. These quick reports allow us to track volunteer hours, financial contributions, and in-kind donations across our chapters, our state, and our national organization. They help highlight the incredible work our members accomplish, provide valuable data for recognition and awards, support project competitions, and inspire other chapters with successful project ideas.

Most importantly, these reports demonstrate the collective impact of Nebraska Women of Today and the positive change we create in our communities every single day.

If your chapter's Programming Manager—or anyone in your chapter—has questions about completing a Community Connection Report, please don't hesitate to reach out. I would be happy to walk you through the process and help make reporting simple and successful. We're all here to learn from one another, and together we can ensure that every act of service receives the recognition it deserves.

As we Power Up with Programming, I encourage each of you to try something new, embrace opportunities to learn, celebrate your chapter's accomplishments, and inspire others through your service. Every certification earned, every report submitted, and every project completed strengthens Nebraska Women of Today and expands the positive impact we have across our state.

I am excited to serve alongside each of you this year and can't wait to see all that we accomplish together. Let's power up, grow together, and make 2026–2027 a year filled with learning, leadership, service, and fun!
