Thanks to all members who have renewed in the second trimester. Your dues provide essential support for Women of Today.

Along with this letter on the website, I have posted the third trimester Fast Start for local treasurer. Please encourage your Chapter treasurers to submit a completed Fast Start for this trimester; submissions are due by April 1, 2026.

National Women of Today emphasis for the month of February is Domestic Violence Awareness. I encourage Chapters to engage in some activity with regard to Domestic Violence Awareness. The US Women of Today website has many suggestions for activities for you Chapter. Suggestions are posted under the Staff tab for DVA Program manager. And don’t forget to please complete and submit a DVA transmittal form to USWT so your chapter receives recognition. Also please send a copy to me for recognition at Annual.

Nebraska Women of Today Emphasis for the month of March is Aid to Foster Children. I encourage Chapters to engage in some activity with regard to Aid to Foster Children. And don’t forget to please submit your Chapter’s Aid to Foster Children donation to support our State’s philanthropy program, which contributes to Foster Care Closet of Nebraska or Nebraska Children and Families Camp Catch-up.

Last year the Nebraska State Board held a Silent Auction at the Annual Convention as a fundraiser for the state chapter. It was a lot of fun and proved very successful for our organization. At our business meeting at the November Fall Conference the State Board voted to hold another Silent Auction at the Annual Convention in April 2026. The Board is requesting that each local Chapter donate a themed basket for the auction.
