Happy New Women of Today Year!

My Name is Jennifer Strohmyer, and I am the 2025-2026 Nebraska State Secretary. I have been a member of the Lincoln chapter for 23 years, and have served in many local offices during my tenure.

I am excited to continue to promote communication within and between chapters at local, state and national levels. I know I have big shoes to fill! I would like to thank Nicolette Amundson for doing such a great job in the office of Secretary for the past couple of years.

My theme is “All on the Same Page.” When all members of an organization have the same information at the same time, they can move mountains! My priority is to ensure information is recorded and shared with a clear structure in mind. I feel managing records and documentation is key for our history, our present and ultimately our future. A few of my goals for this year are to:

• Provide suggestions and tools to chapters to promote good communication

• Promote Public Relations on all media platforms – keep the socials updated

• Learn and assist with website updates

• Foster fun inter and intra-chapter banter

We all know what we can do when we gather together. Imagine what could be done with twice as many members! That starts with sharing information about who we are and what we do. I challenge each chapter Secretary to begin by creating events on Facebook for your meetings and activities each month. Ask your members to share the event. Ask your members to ask their friends to join them! If you do not know how to create events on FB, please reach out to me, and I’ll be happy to help!
